Why Not was founded on 13 July 2010 as a Dutch foundation by three enthusiastic girls. Why Not supports children from 0 to 21 with physical and mental disabilities and their families with education, medication, therapy and microfinance. 

We see that children with a mental or physical disability in Kenya do not automatically get the same opportunities as other children. If you look beyond the disability, you just see a child with his or her own character, needs and talents. 

These children deserve to participate, to be seen and to be accepted! To be given opportunities, so that they can develop and grow up to be independent people who contribute to society. Of course, all children participate at their own level and according to their own abilities. 

Vanuit deze krachtige overtuiging en betrokkenheid werken de fieldworkers van Why Not dagelijks samen met families en de lokale gemeenschap aan de acceptatie en ontwikkeling van kinderen met een beperking in de maatschappij.
