Why not… enable transition?

Now that Why Not has been around for over 10 years, we are increasingly dealing with students who are around 20 years old and have reached the end of their schooling. A new phase is about to begin and we try to help these young people start it as independently as possible. Also children with serious disabilities or who cannot attend school due to health problems deserve a good place in society.   These are two very different groups, but both need help from Why Not. That's why we support them and their parents in finding an activity with which they can earn their own income. We provide them with:
  • Training in entrepreneurship and everything that comes with it
  • Financing as a first investment in the business
  • Regular follow-up and advice to ensure the sustainability of their business
The goal of this project is to help the child or his/her parents become self-reliant and be able to provide for their needs after leaving the organization. If we are successful in this, it also means that there is (financial) space again to include new children in our programs.
